Who this is for

If you are reading this you are one of the following people:

  1. Developer who builds themes and/or plugins for Wordpress. This includes both customization and custom development.

  2. Project manager who gathers requirements from client, distills them into workable action plans and drives their teams to deliver the outcomes.

  3. Business owner and/or marketer who built sites with Wordpress either for themselves or clients. You are apt at using using drag-and-drop tools but you seek help from developers for anything custom.

The Problem

The feedback cycle between business owners, project managers and developers is a sub-optimal process. Anyone who has shipped a project built on Wordpress can testify to the endless back-and-forth between stakeholders, constantly changing requirements, projects getting stuck on limbo and a myriad of other issues.

Then there is the other aspect of server management and maintenance. For each project, a staging site needs to be set up; Each time a requirement changes or the code changes, the staging must be manually updated - either for testing the functionality or getting sign-off from the client.

To add further to complexity, it is often the case that something works on the developer's machine but does not work on staging once deployed.

There is then the element of cost control. Testing servers have to be set up and maintained until the project is "finished" and can end up costing hundreds (if not thousands) of additional dollars.

Production servers, on the other hand, have to be provisioned on the basis on the peak-hour traffic, i.e. a box large enough to handle traffic during the most traffic. This server then sits partially idle during the off-peak hours as there is no easy way to scale down. When traffic spikes, the only solution is to purchase a bigger server.

We have all been there and there is a better way.

The Cloudbits Way

Cloudbits.io is on a mission to solve many of the problems discussed above. While we cannot eliminate them entirely, we can make the lives of developers, project managers as well as business owners a little easier by leveraging modern cloud technologies.

We want to make development easier for developers.

We want to make communication and value delivery better for managers.

We want to reduce cost for business owners.

That is our mission.
